Maritime Works
The new tourist port of Marina di Pisa encloses a free area available for the evolution and mooring of boats equal to 61,560 m2, net of the footprint of the piers. The outer port offers an additional area for the entrance and the evolution of the boats equal to 11,084 m2. The planimetric development of the port also includes the construction of a small dock which, net of the footprint of the pedestrian walkway that delimits it, offers a free area of 610 m2 for the landing of small recreational boats. Overall, the stretch of water enclosed by the port works and therefore visible in plan when the work is finished amounts to 73 254 m2.
TOURIST PORT OF MARINA DI PISA (ITALY)
The work is part of the project to equip the northern outpost of Porto Corsini with some port infrastructures, first of all a protruding one for the docking of cruise ships, then a smaller pier to circumscribe a dock to be used as a mooring of minor and military vehicles, and finally a slipway for towing / garaging boats. Located on the waterfront of Porto Corsini near the access to the Candiano Canal, between the pine forest and the beach, the new Cruise Terminal will significantly reduce the times for entering the port and docking, and will be able to accommodate larger ships. currently in circulation (two of the four planned berths will be able to moor vessels up to 350 meters in length with a draft of up to 10.50 meters). The protruding one, 301.20 m long and 40 m wide with a project seabed of -11.50 m a.s.l., engages perpendicularly to the shore quay, also built by Cmc. The new Cruise Terminal is a cofferdam surmounted by a reinforced concrete crowning beam; longitudinally the sheet piles of the bulkhead, divided into five cells about 60.00 m long each, are connected by a double order of metal tie rods; the jetty is filled with quarry sand whose consolidation was facilitated by the installation of belt drains, and is equipped with underground utilities, furnishings and finishes.
Dredging up to -9.00 m a.s.l. of the seabed of the outer harbor, for a total amount of 910,000 m3, completes the contracted works.
